Ingredients (1 Serving)
Mugwort Red Bean Latte
2 g mugwort powder • 200 ml milk or soy milk • Sugar, to taste • Sweet red bean paste (anko), as desired
Directions
- Heat the mugwort powder, milk (or soy milk), and sugar together in a small saucepan.
- Add your desired amount of sweet red bean paste to a mug.
- Pour the warm mugwort latte over the red bean paste and enjoy.
Ingredients (Serves 3–4)
Mugwort Dumplings (Yomogi Dango)
100 g shiratamako (glutinous rice flour) • 100 g rice flour • 6 g mugwort powder • Hot water, as needed • Sweet red bean paste, as desired • Kinako (roasted soybean flour), sugar & a pinch of salt, as desired
Directions
- Combine the dry ingredients.
- Gradually add the hot water while mixing until a smooth dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls.
- Boil until the dumplings float, then cook for about 1 minute more.
- Transfer to ice water, then drain well.
- Serve with kinako, sugar, sweet red bean paste, or your favorite toppings.

Mugwort Bread
250 g bread flour • 2 tbsp sugar • 1 tsp salt • 1 tbsp skim milk powder • 1 tsp dry yeast • 180 ml water • 5 g mugwort powder • 15 g butter
Directions
Add all ingredients to your bread maker according to the manufacturer's instructions and start the baking cycle.
