What is Shichimi Togarashi?
Shichimi Togarashi is a spicy, aromatic, and umami filled Japanese Spice Mix. It has a long, traditional history, spanning 400 years, and is an indispensable condiment in Japanese cuisine, adding spiciness, umami and aroma to a variety of dishes, such as soba, udon, miso soup, yakitori, and much more. Shichimi Togarashi is in a paste form, rather than a powder form. The paste form allows the seasoning to be mixed with oils, allowing you to enjoy the rich flavor of the ingredients.

Ingredients (2serving) Pasta:200g/A pinch of salt/Shichimi Paste:1/2tsp [A] Olive Oil:3tbsp/A clove of garlic/Onion:1/2 [B] 1 Canned tomatoes(400g)/Consommé:1/2cube/Sugar:1tbsp 1.While the pasta is boiling, make the pasta sauce. 2.Add [A] to a frying pan and fry. 3.When the onions are caramelized, add [B] and simmer. 4.Add shichimi paste to finish the sauce.
