Green Tea Furikake Seasoning 45g(1.5oz)

I tried this Green Tea Furikake, I like it.

To use it, I just simply sprinkle onto cooked white rice. The Furikake has a crispy texture, when placing on top of soft steamed rice, the combination of texture feels good. Taste wise, it says is Green Tea Furikake, but I don't think the green tea flavor is very obvious, more like a hint. However, the whole thing tastes good to me. Definitely umami and adds more flavor to my steamed plain white rice.

So far I only tried on steamed white rice and I think it works well. I do think this Furikake can be used widely in different dishes. I think pasta will be my next dish that I am gonna try with this Furikake. Overall, I like this Furikake and I am happy to use it in my cooking.

Compared to the furikake I usually buy, YAMASAN KYOTO UJI Japanese Green Tea Furikake had has less than a third of the sodium and no added sugar (my usual has 1 gm/tbsp of added sugar). That makes the Yamasan Kyoto furikake a more healthful product and it actually tastes "fresher" than my usual brand (which to be fair, was older when I made the comparison) - although I can't say I can taste green tea. The bad news is that it's a little bland out of the bag - but it tastes very good with a touch of salt. Unfortunately, it costs something like 6x as much than my usual brand does on Amazon. As much as I like furikake, I don't use enough of it to give up my usual brand for something this expensive, even if it tastes a little better and has less salt and added sugar.

Very fresh tasting, and fantastic on white rice, but even better straight from bag into hand. Nice complex flavors and crunchiness. Not sure how much I would pay for this though. Will definitely keep around for special meals and occasions.
