Hojicha Powder Organic Roasted green tea Baking powder latte powder, (100g) Made in Japan
HOJICHA ROASTED GREEN TEA POWDER - It is one kind of Japanese green tea. However, it is different from other types of green tea as we use traditional roasting methods to roast the tea leaves. When the tea leaves are roasted, the bitterness is removed and the Hojicha takes on a nice earthy, toasty scent and an attractive reddish-brown color.
100% Japanese Aromatic Organic Roasted Green Tea Powder.
Hojicha Sweets with a Japanese Taste
Hojicha is made from roasted leaves and stems of teas such as sencha, giving it a fragrant aroma and a deep brown color.
Roasting at high temperatures reduces bitterness and astringency, resulting in a refreshing taste.
Hojicha goes well with sugar and milk, and adding it to sweet desserts brings out its aroma, so various sweets made with hojicha are popular in Japan.
Let's make sweets with hojicha powder, which does not easily form lumps and is easy to dissolve!

Bought this to make hojicha latte, it tastes good but definitely is grainier than what I prefer
After trying hojicha latte in a Korean cafe and spending $8 for a cup I was determined to make this drink at home but cheaper and better! This powder met my expectations and my gf wants me to make her a cup of this goodness every day. I use espresso machine steaming wand and put 1.5 tsp of powder per 240ml of 10% cream to make the most delicious latte with lots of foam and great aroma! If you like it sweet add some honey too!
If you don’t like Matcha because of the grassy flavor, then you might want to check out this tea instead. It has the most comforting, delicious roasted flavor that I’ve ever tasted in a tea. It was divine when I combined it with half-and-half and then poured it over ice.The powder in this product also incorporates very well into a liquid, especially when it’s warm. You don’t even need water that’s boiling for it to be stirred properly. I would actually recommend not bringing the water to a full boil because you will scold the tea and wreck the flavor.I will be buying this again. That’s how much I like it.
Even though this is sold as a baking hojicha powder, I found it to work surprisingly well in lattes. It has a roasted, nutty flavor that doesn’t get buried when paired with milk. Considering the price of this powder compared to other brands, I would purchase it again for lattes and baking, but not for drinking it straight.
I only use this for lattes. It dissolves easily and has a mellow roasted green tea flavour. It’s not bitter, and it’s a little sweet. I prefer it like that; but if you prefer something stronger and more bitter, then I would suggest you buy a different brand.
