Organic Sencha Green Tea

If you're looking for a refreshing, easy-to-brew green tea that's part of everyday life in Japan, Sencha is your go-to choice.

100% JONA & JAS Organic Certified

No Chemical Fertilizer

Sencha green tea is cultivated in open-air tea gardens, where the leaves grow under direct sunlight, giving the tea its signature refreshing taste and vibrant green color.

Why Steaming Matters

Green Tea Steaming Level Simplified Chart

4

Green tea leaves begin to oxidize and ferment almost immediately after harvest, so in traditional Japanese Sencha production, they are quickly steamed to preserve their vibrant green color and fresh flavor.

Steaming stops oxidation and fermentation, removes the raw grassy smell of the leaves, and is a crucial step that determines the tea’s aroma, color, and overall quality.

It also helps retain nutrients while creating a well-balanced flavor with umami, bitterness, and refreshing notes.

While the shape of the leaves may vary slightly depending on the steaming time, please rest assured that this does not affect the quality of the product.

We Deliver Carefully Selected Organic Sencha from Uji, Kyoto

SENCHA is the most commonly consumed green tea in Japan, accounting for about 70–80% of total production. It is grown in famous tea regions such as Uji in Kyoto, where the tea plants are cultivated under full sunlight, resulting in a deep green color and rich aroma.

High in antioxidants, Sencha is enjoyed daily as a healthy beverage. Its refreshing yet full-bodied flavor makes it appealing, and its high quality also makes it a popular choice for gifts.

What Makes Japanese Sencha So Delicious? The Secret Is in the Blend and Roasting Method

Japanese Sencha green tea gets its rich flavor from expert blending and careful processing. Skilled specialists select high-quality first harvest leaves, mainly from Yabukita and Saemidori varieties, known for their balanced taste and vibrant color.

To boost aroma and umami, the tea is roasted with far-infrared heat and gently pasteurized, bringing out a deep scent and full flavor for a satisfying cup.

Cold Brew Sencha

A Smooth, Mellow Taste with Less Bitterness

Cold brewing Sencha green tea brings out its naturally smooth and mellow flavor. This gentle method makes it harder for bitter or astringent compounds, and excess caffeine, to be extracted, resulting in a refreshing, easy-to-drink tea.

An added benefit? Since cold water is used, vitamin C remains intact, unlike in hot brewing methods where heat can break it down.

Cold Brew Sencha with fruits

Enhance Your Cold Brew Sencha with Fresh Fruits for a Healthy Twist

Adding fruit to cold brew Sencha brings a naturally sweet and refreshing flavor. A popular choice is lemon cold brew Sencha—just add a few lemon slices and garnish with mint. Both green tea and lemon are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, making this a healthy and delicious option.

【Other great fruit pairings include】
Peaches for a sweet and floral flavor
Pears for a light, crisp finish
Blueberries for a juicy, antioxidant-rich boost

I am not familiar with tea outside of from a coffee shop or bagged tea, which I drink frequently: this is the first time I've ever had tea like this. I followed instructions on how to prepare Japanese tea, and I think the best way to describe it was that it was an experience. The taste was beautiful. I only used it a few times so far, but this is something that makes me want to stop running around for a few minutes and just sit and drink it.

Great value for high quality organic Japanese Sencha tea. I enjoy at least two cups every morning and the health benefits. Not a fan of tea from China.

I recently had the pleasure of trying authentic green tea from Japan, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I opened the package, I was greeted by a fresh, grassy aroma that instantly transported me to the serene tea fields of Japan.

The flavor is exceptionally smooth and well-balanced?naturally sweet with a slight vegetal note and just the right touch of bitterness. Itfs clear that this tea was cultivated and processed with care and tradition. The vibrant green color of the brew is another sign of its high quality, especially in varieties like sencha or gyokuro, which are known for their deep umami flavor.

What really stood out to me was the calming effect it had. Unlike the jittery buzz of coffee, this green tea provides a gentle energy boost paired with a sense of mindfulness?perfect for a midday break or a moment of relaxation.

If youfre a tea enthusiast or simply looking for a healthier, more refined beverage, I highly recommend trying Japanese green tea. Itfs more than just a drink?itfs a cultural experience in a cup.

pretty good for the cost, but not really higher-end quality. i like the taste but i usually add some monk fruit extract as a sweetener because the tea is a teeny bit bitter and the sweetness of the monk fruit makes it more enjoyable. there are bits of tea dust left in my cup when i pour it into my cup from my teapot, but not a crazy amount. doesnft smell amazing compared to some higher-quality teas ifve tried, but doesnft smell off-putting. ifd say buy it if youfre new to drinking loose leaf tea, not too picky, or want a daily tea that wonft break the bank

This tea was a straight up 10/10.
Nice smooth grassy flavor.
The caffeine feel gives a solid little kick in energy but it definitely has a relaxing effect on me that I donft get with coffee. I could easily drink this in the evening and have no issues getting to sleep, which I cannot do if I were to drink the same amount of coffee at night
