Ingredients (About 20pieces)

Flour: 115g／Unsalted Butter: 60g／Sugar: 50g／Matcha paste: 1tbsp

A. Mix butter and sugar in a bowl until smooth. B. Add the flour and matcha paste to A and knead well. C. Shape into a 2cm diameter log, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour. D. Remove the plastic wrap, cut into 1.5cm pieces and place on a baking tray. E. Bake in a preheated oven at 180℃ for 13 to 15 minutes. Cool it after baking and it's ready.

Rice: 2cup／Boiled chickpea: 100g／A pinch of salt／Dried seaweed: 1／Matcha paste: 2/3tbsp

A. Wash rice, add water, and cook rice with matcha paste, salt, and seaweed. B. When cooked, add chickpeas and steam before serving.

Made Matcha Brownies!

Used the paste to make some Matcha brownies and they came out really good! The paste is nice since you don’ have to sift it. Just measure and go. The matcha flavor was strong and everyone loved them.

Great for cooking

This is high quality matcha for culinary purposes. Yamasan Kyoto is a well-known producer of good quality green tea in Japan, and this is genuine Uji matcha.The matcha itself is very high quality. It's a vibrant green (not brown at all), and it's devoid of any bitterness. I was really surprised by how smooth and not bitter the matcha is.That being said, it's not up to drinking-grade standards in my opinion. Maybe because it's reconstituted, but the aroma was all wrong for drinking-grade matcha. It had some muddled tasting notes as well, and really just didn't have the delicate sweetness and nuttiness that powdered matcha has.If you want a convenient high quality matcha for making flavored sauces or using in cooking, this is a great choice. But I would not use this matcha plain, and I would not recommend this for drinking purposes.

This matcha paste is perfect for making matcha desserts! Since it comes in a paste form, you wouldn't have to worry about clumps of matcha that you typically have to sift through and mix thoroughly. This matcha paste is much easier to incorporate into cake batter, cookie batter, and even other dessert items that use matcha. I have tried using this to make matcha flavored mochi and it has worked wonderfully. The matcha flavor tastes strong and the color is definitely there. This matcha paste is essentially a matcha concentrate, so a little goes a long way!
